The Final Rivalry
[rahy-vuhl-ree] –noun, plural -ries.
1. the action, position, or relation of a rival or rivals; competition
With that being said, William Jewell will be starting next season in the NCAA D-II level of play, so tonight will be our last time we square off in the Collins center. In the past, we’ve played them close, and our win margins were never by a great disparity. They were pre-season ranked 2nd in the HAAC conference, and Baker was 3rd. They are also coming into this game with a current 5-0 record in conference.
You play college sports for moments like this. Rivalries. Fierce competition. And defending your home turf. Tonight, we plan to do just that in what I know will be a tough battle. Tip-off is at 5:30pm and as always, all of the support from students, faculty, parents, and staff is always appreciated! Go ‘Cats!
