Extremities offers a Unique Thrill

If you had the opportunity this weekend to see the Baker University Department of Music and Theatre’s production of “Extremities” by William Mastrosimone, you’re lucky. If you missed out, I’m sorry.

While it’s not anything anyone would ever want to see, I think is a show everyone should watch. It really makes you, as an audience member ask yourself, “What would you do?”

I hope no one is ever forced into the situation Marjorie (played by Courtney West) finds herself in. But, it does bring to question if Vigilante Justice is ever Justified. Could you face your attacker, torture him (or her) in return, before ever even considering calling the police all because someone said you’d be in more trouble than the accused?

I enjoyed “Extremities”, and the performances of Courtney, Jeff Milton, Ali Watson, and Brandi Dority, and can’t wait to see how the next production of “Stop Kiss” by Diana Son turns out.

  1. I agree! I went and saw it today and was absolutely blown away. It really makes you think, and because of the reality of the situation, I almost couldn’t watch the whole time. Incredibly played out. Jeff and the crew did an outstanding job.
