From dreams to reality…

It’s crazy because you come into college thinking you have to declare a major the minute you step foot on campus. You feel so pressured to make a decision that will essentially effect the rest of your life. So what happens if you choose the wrong major? Well let me tell you a story. 3 years ago, a freshman came into college from Arizona, not knowing what she wanted to do and declared herself a pre-med major as directed by everyone but herself. She struggled her first two years and was lost in the studies of a profession she had absolutely no desire in. She finally stood up to people she loved most in her life to confess this wasn’t the path for her. As much as we all want to be doctors and lawyers, this girl had another calling. She just hadn’t found the numbers to dial yet…

She always had a knack for designing though. Loved to create things on the computer and just needed a class or two to steer her in the right direction, and the rest was history. From there, she went on to practice, making flyers for athletes and various events, and in each project got better and better. Next thing you know, a friend approaches her and says “You know, if you’re this good at something, you really shouldn’t be doing it for free.” And that’s when it hit her. Start a business! Make a website, design your own business cards, establish a fanbase, live out your dream! Well, ladies and gentlemen, that girl is me. And I’m happy to say 2 and a half confused college years later, I am finally living out my dream. What started as a hobby, turned into something much, much greater: GL0 Graphics
